　　一.要求参加的考试

　　Official scores from the SAT and/or the ACT; if English is your second language, it is highly recommended that you submit results from the TOEFL or IELTS

　　埃默里大学要求考生提交SAT或者ACT的成绩。如果考生的英语是作为第二语言的话，那么强烈建议考生提交托福或者雅思成绩。

　　SAT / ACT

　　All first-year freshman applicants to Emory University are required to submit scores from either the SAT or the ACT. Emory University requires applicants to take the optional writing section of either the SAT or ACT. There is no preference given to one exam over the other. SAT and/or ACT scores are important but are not the deciding factors. Strong grades in rigorous courses may cause the committee to overlook below average standardized test scores, but high board scores will never make up for an applicant’s weak course selection or grades.

　　不管考生选择提交SAT成绩还是ACT成绩，埃默里大学都要求考生提交SAT或ACT的写作部分的成绩。SAT或者ACT成绩固然重要，但是并不是考生录取的决定因素。

　　二.SAT成绩要求和录取情况

　　Emory College

　　The following statistics are for the Emory College first-year class, beginning in the fall of 2015.

　　1. 录取情况Applications

　　Applied:20,462

　　Accepted:4,830

　　Enrolled :1,393

　　从上述数据可以看出，2015年秋季埃默里大学的申请人数达到了20,462人，而录取人数是4,830，最终成功入学的考生人数是1,393。可以的得出15年秋季的录取率约为23.6%。

　　2. 对SAT成绩的要求

　　Admitted First-Year Class (25th – 75th percentile)

　　Average GPA: 3.70 – 3.97 (unweighted)

　　SAT critical reading: 650-750

　　SAT math: 670-770

　　SAT writing: 660-760

　　SAT total: 2020–2260

　　ACT: 30-34

　　从上述数据可以看出15年秋季录取考生中，从SAT考试整体来看，有75%的考生总分数≤2260，也就是说有25%的考生的总分是在2260以上的。而只有25%的考生分数是低于2020的。

　　从各个科目来看，其中阅读成绩有75%的考生是≤750，25%的考生分数在750分以上。同理可以看出其他科目的表现情况。

　　三.针对SAT改革的政策

　　Policy Regarding the Redesigned SAT for Fall 2017 Applicants

　　Emory University applicants seeking admission for enrollment for fall semester 2017 are required to submit scores for the SAT or ACT. Applicants submitting SAT scores may choose to submit scores from either the former (prior to March 2016) or redesigned (after March 2016) exam format. As with the ACT examination, Emory University applicants are required to take the optional Essay/Writing section on the redesigned SAT.

　　于2017年秋季入学的考生可以选择提交新SAT考试成绩(2016年3月之后)或则旧SAT考试成绩(2016年3月之前)，此外，埃默里大学要求提交新SAT考试中作文部分。

　　Students may elect to take both the old and new forms of the exams if they so choose. The Admission Committee will super-score SAT exams taken for the same type of exam—but will not super-score across the old and the new formats.

　　考生也可以选择同时提交新SAT成绩和旧SAT成绩，但是只能进行同类考试的拼分，而不接受两种形式考试的拼分。
